What to Bring Minimize

A lot of this is basic common sense - watersports can be cold and wet, but we can assure you that it's all worth it for the fun to be had!

The following list should be used as a guide:

  • WARM clothing
    • these clothes are likely to get wet, so please leave your Armani/Hilfiger gear at home
    • jeans are very uncomfortable when wet, and can make you cold very quickly
    • a warm hat and/or gloves are very effective to keep warm
    • old trainers (again, may get wet)... welly boots can be dangerous as they fill up with water quickly
  • COMPLETE spare change of clothing
  • Wind AND Waterproof jacket and trousers

No-one will be allowed to participate in activities without the above

  • swimming trunks/shorts/costume for wearing under wetsuit
  • towel
  • plastic bag for wet clothes
  • money for course fee, and/or tuckshop
  • strap for spectacles (string or otherwise)

 Travel Minimize

Longcraig is situated just next to South Queensferry, on the east side of the Forth Rail Bridge. See the following map.

By Car

If travelling from Edinburgh, head towards the Barnton junction (follow signs to the Forth Road Bridge). From there take the A90 (again towards the Road Bridge) and leave at the second junction (not to Kirkliston - the next one to Dalmeny and South Queensferry) to join the B924.
Just as this road goes underneath the Rail Bridge, take a sharp right to follow the bumpy road along the shore - our large new building should be obvious to find from there.
Parking is available as illustrated in the picture, but many of the spaces are required by staff. If you think you may have a problem, please get in touch.

If you wish to find us on a map, put the postcode "EH30 9TD" into Google maps http://maps.google.co.uk/maps
